Our Cacao Butter is organic, processed with the utmost commitment to purity and is truly raw. To produce the butter, Arriba Nacional Cacao Nibs from Ecuador are high-pressure pressed to separate the Cacao Butter (oil) from the fiber (which is transformed into raw cacao powder). The result is an organic, creamy butter with a delicate and rich chocolate flavor. Because of the manual extraction process (rather than heat or solvents), our cacao butter has variations in color from light golden to minor bits of chocolate brown.

About Cacao:

Super High in Antioxidants: Cacao has higher Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity (ORAC) values than many common foods (ORAC values measure how powerful an antioxidant a substance is). An antioxidant is a substance that removes potentially damaging oxidizing agents from a living organism.

Rich in Essential Minerals & Vitamins: magnesium, calcium, iron, zinc, copper, potassium and manganese, A, B1, B2, B3, E and pantothenic acid.

A Cholesterol-Friendly Food: Cacao is primarily comprised of two saturated fatty acids, palmitic and stearic acids, and the mono unsaturated oleic acid but does not raise blood cholesterol.

    Chocolate Recipe:

    Melt Cacao Butter in double boiler. Mix with Cacao Powder. Ratio of Cacao Butter to Cacao Powder is 1/2:1. Add sweetener of your choice, pour into molds and refrigerate.

    I make my own raw chocolate and this is the best cacao butter I have used.  It tempers well and does not have the waxy taste you sometimes get with other cacao butters

    I melted some of this in with my chocolate chip cookie batter.  They came out great!  Nice and moist and chewy on the outside.  I live in Floida and they did not melt during shipping.
